Quinny is fast approaching her first birthday and we are so excited to celebrate – but first…here’s what we’ve been up to this summer…

Big news – we are expecting again! Baby GLove #2 is due 1/11/2024, 16 months exactly after Quinn’s birthday. Baby is 21 weeks old today, 14 oz (that’s big!), and kicking. All looks good and healthy but mom has placenta previa and will be taking it easy hoping it resolves by 32 weeks. If not, baby could come at 37 weeks (12/22/2023 – dad’s not excited about an almost Christmas baby) or hold out until 39 weeks (1/4/2024) for a c-section (no repeats of our last birthing experience please!). We will not know the gender of this baby until birth, just like with Quinn. We enjoy the surprise! We will not be “showering” either since we have SO MUCH from Quinny to pass on to this baby (thank you all!).

Our little girl LOVES eating especially broccoli, avocado, chicken and really anything mom and dad are eating. In June she started standing on her own and we thought for sure she would be walking by the end of our trip to Seattle!

We left for Washington State on June 25th and took the scenic route through Jackson Hole, Butte (do not recommend), Couer D’Alane, ending in Duvall for Heather’s birthday. We then stayed with Grandpa Bear and Grandma Jane for the fourth of July which looked a little different this year (“quiet” fireworks in the driveway while QJ slept). Then we made our way to the coast, a fishing town called Westport for the week. Lucy (our dog) LOVES the beach and we were happy to be enjoying the GLove family time. Quinn sleeps great on the road…so long as she has her own room…what a princess! 🙂 We got to see a lot of family and friends
